'Athens Bar Show 2024' Field report!

For five days from 3-7 November 2024, bartenders, industry professionals and bar enthusiasts from all over the world gathered in the city of Athens, Greece.This is an in-depth report on Athens Bar Week and its flagship event, the Athens Bar Show, which took place during the same period!

More than 17,000 professionals from the alcoholic beverage industry gathered in Athens!

The Athens Bar Show took place on 5 and 6 November!

The Athens Bar Show (commonly known as ABS), which was the most active ever since its launch in 2010, brought together more than 17,000 bartenders and professionals from the liquor and beverage industry from Europe, Central Asia and other parts of the world.

The venue was Technopolis, a vast event space in the centre of Athens, and the entire city of Athens was abuzz with activity.

It is no wonder, then, that the Athens Bar Show itself was held over two days, on 5 and 6 November, but the five days from 3 to 7 November were named 'Athens Bar Week', with related events taking place all over the city.

In recent years, the bar scene in Greece has developed rapidly and is more exciting than ever.

Not only during the events, Athens' bars are packed with people from the early hours, and new bars are opening all over the city.

The bar community is also growing and evolving across Greece, with Thessaloniki, the second largest city in northern Greece, also starting a 'Bar Week' this year.

The main aim of the Athens Bar Show is to provide a platform for bartenders and industry professionals to build connections, deepen their knowledge and promote their businesses.

It has evolved each year under the theme of 'creating value for the city and the hospitality industry with a focus on personal growth'.

And now it has become a major, globally recognised event in the bartending and spirits industry.

The event attracted a wide range of participants, from leading industry players, new bartenders, seasoned professionals and even curious consumers.

It is a place where participants inspire each other and where new ideas and values are born.
