The first "Sip & Spirits Taiwan" bar and cocktail event was held at the prestigious Regent Hotel Taipei in Taiwan on February 23 and 24, 2025.In Special Report #2, we will report on a panel discussion featuring famous Asian bartenders and some of the guest shifts that took place at bars around Taiwan.

The bartenders and guests are overwhelmingly young!

At Sip & Spirits Taiwan, on the first day of the event, 23 February, bartenders from all over Taiwan and invited bartenders from overseas shared the same booth to showcase exclusive Taiwan-inspired collaborative cocktails.

14 famous bars in Taiwan x 26 famous bars abroad.

The event's initiator, Nick Wu, is the Taipei ‘BAR MOOD’, which is the collaboration by Hidetsugu Ueno of 「Bar High Five」.

Meanwhile, Yujiro Kiyosaki and Kazuaki Nagao from 「Bar Libre」 shifted in at Mars Chang's 「To Inﬁnity & Beyond」 booth, which was also featured on Drink Planet!

At the booth of MALTAIL, the only Taiwanese bar from Kaohsiung, Hiroyasu Nakayama from Bar Nayuta in Osaka and Manabu Otake from 「Royal Bar」 in Tokyo showed their cocktail-making skills.

The guests, who numbered over 600, were overwhelmingly young people in their 20s and 30s.

Moreover, many of the guests were women, which underscored the impression that the Taiwanese cocktail scene is young and glamorous.
