Why "ROND-POINT" calls itself a bar.
What is the reason why the name "Chocolaterie & Bar ROND-POINT" has had the word "bar" in its name since its opening?
Hirofumi Tanakamaru, owner chocolatier, says there are two main reasons.
One is that chocolate shops are busy during the winter months with Christmas and Valentine's Day, while the summer months are quiet. We wanted to offer desserts on a plate during these times when we have more time to spare.
Another reason is that we wanted to offer our customers a chocolate experience. ROND-POINT" is a circle, a rim, and we wanted to interact with our customers face-to-face.
I would also like to add that I simply love bars (laughs).
