Pisco seminars are held in 40 locations across the country!
Quebranta, Ubina, Mojar, Negra Criolla, Italia, Trontel, Moscatel, Alvilla.
Pisco is poured from a line of plastic cups on a sheet of paper with the words.
'The most produced non-aromatic variety of Peruvian pisco, Quebranta, is a professional from Tacama de Monio.Ubina is a premium from Fundo del Parral."
Yutaka Ishii, who runs Bar Super Nova in Kannai, Yokohama, has been travelling on his own account to promote pisco throughout the country and has been holding seminars since 2022.
He has visited about 40 places so far.
He started by promoting Tres Generaciones, one of the leading bodegas in the southern Peruvian city of Ica, and outside of seminars, he contacted bartenders he knew to taste pisco
What drives him?
'Because it's fun, that's the main reason. You get to know the city and bar more deeply than you would on a normal trip, and the relationship between the area and South America is interesting. No matter how advanced the internet is, there are still many cultures that you can't understand unless you actually visit them.We don't just output at seminars, we also input at various locations."
