The legendary bar "Sporer," established in 1903!

Sporer in Salzburg, Austria, is a traditional liqueur and punch specialty shop founded in 1903.

Located on Getreidegasse, the main street of the old town, the bar is a popular spot attracting a diverse crowd, including locals and, in recent years, bar-loving tourists who have discovered it.

Hanging from Sporer's street-facing eaves is a wrought-iron sign indicating the goods sold—unchanged since medieval times when many people still couldn't read.

Walking along looking for the "wine bottle" sign... before you even see the sign, you'll spot people spilling out onto the sidewalk, glasses in hand, chatting and laughing.

Step inside and the reason becomes immediately clear.

The bar occupies a townhouse built in 1407, said to be one of the narrowest buildings on the street.
