What's going on in Taiwan's bar scene now!

On 23 and 24 February 2025, the memorable first edition of Sip & Spirits Taiwan was held at the Regent Hotel Taipei, one of the most prestigious hotels in Taiwan.What kind of event is this? What's happening in Taiwan's bar scene right now? We report on the details of the event and interview the event's founder, Nick Wu!

This is the first time Sip & Spirits Taiwan has been organised!

When you hear the words 'Sip & Spirits Taiwan', not many people think of it.

That is understandable, as this is the first time the event has been held in Taiwan.

Moreover, due to issues surrounding Taiwanese law (work visas), it was difficult to promote the event externally until just before it was held.

The reasons for this will be explained later, but on the first day of the event, the 23rd, some 600 bartenders from all over Taiwan, invited bartenders from overseas, influencers and bar industry professionals gathered for a one-night cocktail exhibition that was a lot of fun.

The following day, on the 24th, a panel discussion was held with top creators from the bar industry in Asia, and in the evening a pairing dinner was held with Taiwan's top dining establishments and Macallan under the theme 'Asian Fusion Cuisine'.The event was held in the evening under the theme of 'Asian Fusion Cuisine'.

Incidentally, the collaborators were EMBERS, MUME, Golden & Afterglo, Impromptu by Paul Lee, Silks House and akeruE Dessert, a distinguished list of starredRestaurants.

'How could you have got so much on offer!'Gourmets will be roaring at the line-up.
