'The Philippines = delicious'

Many may wonder, but one of the cities that has caught the attention of foodies and gastronomes around the world over the past few years is Manila, the capital of the Philippines.

Manila is home to Toyo Eatery, ranked 42nd in Asia's 50 Best Restaurants 2023; METIS, also ranked 48th; Helm, by a chef trained at NOMA in Copenhagen; and the female chef from LA TABLE de Joël Robuchon. The restaurants are all owned and operated by Filipinos or Filipinos from the Philippines, or by Filipinos from other countries!

All of these restaurants are run by Filipinos or chefs with Filipino roots, and all are located in the Makati area, an office district lined with high-rise buildings.
