Velvet" sources most of its ingredients from within Germany, even from within Berlin, and sometimes goes on foraging trips to nearby forests and farms to serve cocktails that evoke the original landscape of Berliners' hearts. We took a closer look at the essence of their cocktail creation.

Every Tuesday is "Lab Day"!

Velvet" is closed every Tuesday.

This day is "lab day".

On Tuesdays, all five staff members gather during the day to process ingredients harvested together and propose new recipes for tastings.

The cocktail creation, which takes place in a small lab attached to the store, is truly an experiment.

It is a day to enjoy a drop of this spirit, a dash of this cordial at ......, and a little bit of this and that.

The menu at Velvet changes weekly, with only 10 different cocktails.

Each week, one to four new cocktails are introduced.

The names of the cocktails are direct, such as "strawberry," "walnut," and "pine cone.

Also, almost all of the cocktails are pre-mixed, as each cocktail is a complex recipe containing 12 to 16 different spirits, liqueurs, and cordials.

At the counter, they are simply shaken or steamed, chilled, and poured into a glass.
