What kind of bar is Tokyo Confidential, created by two female bartenders: Holly Graham, who was born in the UK and became a bartender in Hong Kong, and Wakana Murata, aka Waka, who was born in Japan and honed her bartending skills in Singapore?

The homemade ingredients and premixes are prepared in a store room in another building.

Two international female bartenders!

Tokyo Confidential co-founder Holly Graham and head bartender Wakana Murata, known as Waka, originally followed each other on social networking sites.

In preparation for the opening, Holly shortlisted young female bartenders from Asia.

She was attracted to Waka because of her "fun" side, in a good way, which is not typical of Japanese bartenders.

I saw a photo of Waka pouring a champagne tower on a social networking site, and it just clicked. I thought, 'This girl is definitely interesting! Holly said.

They got in touch via DM and had a champagne brunch in Hong Kong and ended up spending the whole day together. ......

Waka-san is Waka-san, and he saw great potential in Holly's personality as well as her new project.

Thus, the two opened Tokyo Confidential in October 2023.
