Go to Kobe's landmark "Zo Building".

Passing through the downtown area near Sannomiya Station, the center of Kobe, and walking up Kitano slope leading to Ijinkan-gai, a mysterious miscellaneous building with two elephants' objects facing each other appears.

The "Elephant Building," as it is commonly called, is a landmark building in Kobe.

In the past, it was home to legendary live music clubs and jazz bars, as well as many popular small restaurants and snack bars, and was crowded every night until the wee hours of the morning.

Today, the area retains a retro atmosphere reminiscent of the bubble era, and many unique restaurants with a bit of an edge have taken up occupancy.

In November 2022, when the effects of the Corona disaster still linger, THE KAZAN ROOM, a very authentic TIKI bar that is rare in Japan, opened on the fourth floor of such an elephant building.
