A comfortable space with music and drinks.
Sosei Yamazaki, the owner-bartender of Grace Note, which means "decorative note" in musical terms, was originally a drummer, as mentioned in the previous section.
Although born in Yamaguchi, he basically grew up in Shiga.
Influenced by his older sister who played guitar in the light music club, he learned to play the taiko drum in elementary school, and in junior high school he joined the brass band and played drums and percussion in the rhythm section.
(Originally, his sister wanted to play drums.)
Aiming to become a professional musician, he entered the difficult Osaka University of Arts, where he majored in drums in the music department.
His first encounter with the restaurant business came when he worked part-time at a casual bar in Amerikamura, Osaka, while still a student.
Music and alcohol have a strange affinity, and before I knew it, I was drawn to spaces with music and alcohol," says Yamazaki.
