What exactly is biodynamic farming!?

Biodynamie in French refers to biodynamic farming, a type of organic agriculture.

While familiar to French wine enthusiasts, this term is rarely heard in the world of cocktails.

Nevertheless, bartenders should be aware that biodynamic farming incorporates the lunar calendar and is a method that harnesses the forces of nature beyond simple organic practices.

Editor's note: Biodynamic farming is based on the "Agricultural Lectures" by German philosopher Rudolf Steiner. It involves working in harmony with the movements of celestial bodies and using specially prepared natural substances to unlock nature's inherent potential.

The Ritz Bar, which reopened in 2021 and instantly became a hot topic, operates its cocktail bar concept around this biodynamic philosophy.
